CANDIDATES FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:
DIRECTOR OF MONITORING AND EVALUATION (NIGERIA)
THE DIRECTOR OF MONITORING AND EVALUATION (DME) WILL
COORDINATE ALL MONITORING AND EVALUATION (M&E) ACTIVITIES
FOR FAMILY HEALTH INTERNATIONAL IN NIGERIA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- OFFERING LEADERSHIP AND OVERALL MANAGEMENT TO THE M&E
DEPARTMENT
- PROVIDING TECHNICAL INPUTS TO IMPROVE AND FACILITATE
THE DELIVERY OF SOUND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN M&E,
INCLUDING TO THE GOVERNMENT TO NIGERIA (GON) AND THE UNITED
STATE GOVERNMENT (USG) UPON REQUEST
- COLLABORATING WITH OTHER MAJOR STAKEHOLDERS SUCH AS THE
UN FAMILY OR THE NIGERIAN COUNTRY COORDINATING MECHANISM TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE IMPLEMENTATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE
NATIONAL M&E EFFORT IN NIGERIA.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- HEALTH RELATED DIPLOMA (MD PHARMACY) AND PHD OR SIMILAR
DEGREE IN MONITORING AND EVALUATION OR RELATED FIELD
- 8-10 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN MONITORING AND EVALUATION IN
LARGE HIV/AIDS PROGRAMS AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL, WITH AT
LEAST 3 YEARS OF DIRECT EXPERIENCE IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES
(PREFERENTIALLY IN WEST AFRICA)
- SOUND KNOWLEDGE OF STATISTICS AND EPIDEMIOLOGY
- EXPERIENCE IN WORKING WITH LOCAL CONTEXT IS AN ASSET AS
WELL AS FAMILIARITY WITH USAID AND PEPFAR PROGRAMS
